Afternoon Tea @ 10 SCOTTS, Grand Hyatt Singapore
October 25, 2015
Afternoon tea with girl friend is all about the ambience. Best is it is located at a convenient location where we can eat and shop thereafter. After all, a lighter, in-between meal is perfect for this kind of weather, means that it won’t hurt to sneak in that extra bit of cake.
I went for my afternoon high tea at 10 SCOTTS, located on the lobby level of Grand Hyatt Singapore. Served daily from 12pm to 5pm, afternoon tea here features a pleasing mix of both local and international favourites, paired with free-flowing Perrier Jouët Champagne and over 20 different choices of coffee, tea and selected juices.
Taking pride of place at 10 SCOTTS is the communal table in the Dining Room, setting the scene for an intimate ambience during afternoon tea with a selection of delectable cuisine such as a weekly-changing selection of hot items: soups, sides and a la minute dishes flambéed to order, in addition to premium cold cuts, eight different artisan cheeses, dim sum, gourmet tartines, sushi, indulgent whole cakes and desserts.
10 SCOTTS favourites are served on our signature two-tier glass stand, and include homemade sustainable crab cakes with remoulade sauce, curry puffs, scones and macaroons. Guests can also help themselves to freshly shucked sustainable seasonal oysters in addition to creative ice creams and sorbets from the chiller.
Afternoon tea is an easy way to get everyone together, be it friends, family or colleagues. You simply can’t go wrong with fresh sandwiches, warm scones, macarons and a glass of bubbly or steaming pots of tea. Plus you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the cascading waterfall which allows me to retreat into my shell for just a moment.
