If you’ve ever found yourself hungry at 3 AM, craving a hot bowl of comfort, you’re not alone. Late-night supper spots in town are hard to come by, but Ah Gong KKM at Bras Basah Complex has got your back. Unlike its other outlets that close at regular hours, this one is open 24/7—so whether it’s post-drinks, an overnight work session, or just a case of the midnight munchies, this is the spot to hit.

As someone who loves Ke Kou Mian, I’m always on the lookout for a good supper spot in town. That’s why Ah Gong KKM caught my attention recently. This relatively new brand has been making waves, opening outlets all over Singapore, but Bras Basah Complex remains its only 24-hour location. Naturally, I had to give it a try!

Ke Kou Mian (KKM) is like that bowl of instant noodles we always cook up at home when hunger strikes late at night—simple, satisfying, and fail-proof. Ah Gong KKM doesn’t try to overcomplicate things; instead, they stick to doing what they do best—serving up a solid, classic bowl of noodles that Singaporeans love.

Ordering is straightforward. You pick your ingredients, but the original version ($4.80 small, $5.80 big) already comes with minced meat, sliced meat, liver, greens, and an egg simmering in a broth made with pork bones and soybean. The broth is comforting, the QQ noodles have the perfect bite, and the combination of meat and runny yolk makes each mouthful ultra-satisfying. It’s no wonder KKM has such a strong fan base!

For those who prefer something more indulgent, prawns or clams make a delicious upgrade. Or if you’re feeling indecisive, just go for the combo bowl ($7.50 small, $8.50 big), which has everything—clams, prawns, minced pork, sliced meat, liver, greens, and egg. The seafood adds an extra sweetness to the broth, making it even more slurp-worthy.

Okay, here’s where things get interesting. I’ll admit it—I’m a purist when it comes to Ke Kou Mian. I’ve always stuck to the original. But at Ah Gong KKM, they have a spicy version where they add a spoonful of their homemade chili to the broth, and let me tell you—it’s a game-changer.

I couldn’t resist ordering a bowl to try. The moment the chili-infused broth hit my tongue, I knew I had been missing out. The fragrant heat deepens the pork broth’s flavour, making each sip fiery yet addictive. Singapore may be unbearably hot, but there’s something about slurping up spicy soup, breaking the egg yolk into it, and stuffing your mouth with springy noodles, minced pork, and liver that just hits differently. Shiok beyond words.

The spicy pork Ke Kou Mian is priced at $5.50 small, $6.50 big, but if you’re like my friend—go big or go home—then just get the spicy combo Ke Kou Mian ($8.20 small, $9.20 big). You won’t regret it.

Let’s be real—every brand has its own loyal fans when it comes to Ke Kou Mian. Some people swear by certain stalls, and I’m not here to compare. But what I do appreciate is how Ah Gong KKM has made Ke Kou Mian more accessible than ever. You can literally find their outlets all over Singapore now, and that means more people get to enjoy this humble, comforting dish.

And if you’re looking for a solid late-night supper? You know where to go. Bras Basah, 3 AM. See you there.
