Bakerzin – Spring is in the air!

Starting from 25th January 2016, Bakerzin has introduced their dine-in only Spring menu! This a-la-carte selection will be available all day in celebration of the auspicious season. Beginning with their Spring Salad ($15.80), which is Bakerzin’s version of “lou hei”, you get to enjoy fresh silvers of vegetables such as carrots and crunchy purple cabbage topped with lightly poached, shelled prawns and sprinkled with crush peanuts, pickled ginger and winter melon strips.
This is brought together with their homemade blood orange dressing before the dish is finished with crispy golden puffs and sesame seeds. We had to talk ourselves into having more servings as vegetables are considered healthy no? Haha! This dish is ideal for two to share!
Next up is the Braised Pork Buns ($15.80). Imagine sinking your teeth into tender pieces of braised pork belly sandwiched between crispy mantou layered with house-made hollandaise sauce! Simply scrumptious! This is served with a side of fresh garden salad.
White Miso Grilled Salmon with Soba ($16.80) is our favourite. Plump fillet of salmon is first marinated in a luscious white miso mayonnaise and roasted to perfection. The fish is then sprinkled with black and white sesame seeds and served with tender soba noodles and julienne of carrot.
This is followed by their Pasta Vongole ($17.80), which is re-introduced due to over-popularity, as well as, Chicken Mousseline with Curry Foam ($18.80), boosting finely chopped chicken that is seasoned with fresh cream and herbs and rolled into a delicious roulade. This tasty treat is accompanied with a helping of quinoa sauteed with red and green peppers and a light curry foam.
We cannot agree more that Lunar New Year festivities are made perfect with Bakerzin’s cookies, tarts, cakes and dine-in meals.
