There are a lot of talented bakers out there. But because of high costs of rental, they usually open a small bakery in a quiet neighbourhood. One of them is Bloomsbury Bakers. Located at a HDB void deck in Book Keng, Bloomsbury Bakers is opened by two friends who graduated from the famed Le Cordon Bleu London culinary school.

I looked through their Instagram feed before my visit and it seems that their Lychee Martini cake is a must try. Through enough, I love their lychee martini cake! The light and fluffy sponge cake is layered beautifully between fresh whipped cream and lychee bits. The martini wasn’t as strong as Pine Garden, but the chiffon cake is definitely much better.

More photogenic option is the lemon meringue tart which is truly tangy. I love the pastry which was crispy and buttery. They have other cake options as well such as strawberry shortcake. And they have just launched their Orh-Nee Cake, can’t wait to try it next time!
