With all the restrictions during the Circuit Breaker period, your go-to bakery might have stopped their operations. At the same time, your supermarket might have run out of all the essential items needed to bake a loaf of bread at home. Don’t fret, for we’ve found 10 places where you can get your bread fix! Some of them even offer islandwide delivery right to your doorstep.

Kamome Bakery

kamome
Situated within Goldhill Shopping Centre is Kamome Bakery — a bakery selling Japanese-inspired bread. Stepping into the bakery is like entering a bakery in Japan. They offer a wide variety of interesting bread, which is not commonly found in local bakeries. The Red Bean & Butter is a very typical Japanese combination. Sandwiched between the bread was a generous portion of red bean, and a slab of butter. The butter gave a salty edge to the read bean, and helped to moisten it too. Other interesting flavours include the Yuzu Chestnut, Banana and Brown Sugar. Kamome Bakery also sells savoury breads like Pork Cutlet (Tonkatsu) Sandwich or Teriyaki Chicken & Kinpira. If you prefer plain bread so that you can pair them with your favourite spreads at home, you can bring home a loaf of Kamome Toast or the Sour Dough (Dark Chocolate) which is freshly baked daily!
