Burger House – Ex-Omakase Burger Head Chef Sells $7.90 Juicy Burgers with Handmade Beef Patties in Beauty World Food Centre

If you’re an Omakase Burger fan like me who’s in despair at the closure of all outlets by 27 October, fret not. For you can satisfy your burger cravings at Burger House in the nostalgic setting of Beauty World Food Centre!

Terry, a former Head Chef at Omakase Burger, decided to strike out on his own with a spanking new burger stall last April. The stall offers handmade patties at really pocket-friendly prices so it’s no wonder that the stall is swamped with demand. The stall only had 100 beef burgers, 20 chicken and mushroom burgers when I arrived.

The beef is from New Zealand, and Terry flame-torches them till they are perfectly charred. He then evenly coats every bun with margarine on a margarine roller machine before assembling the burger.

I went with the popular Beef Burger and Mushroom Burger. The Beef Burger ($7.90) comes with a thick beef patty, melted cheese, fresh lettuce, tomato, and is topped off with a creamy sauce. The tender beef patty was moist and well-seasoned. I only wished that the plain sauce had more of a taste.

I decided to upgrade my a la carte burger to a set meal that comes with a side of French fries and lemonade for $2. The fries were well salted. Overall, the set meal was worth the top up.

Fans of Shake Shack’s ‘Shroom Burger will definitely like the Mushroom Burger ($6.90).
The patty was deep-fried to perfection, and biting into it revealed generous mushroom slices fused with hot molten cheese. Although I tasted more cheese than mushroom, it’s still a good veggie option!

So if you’re planning to head over to Burger House, go early as the burgers tend to sell out by early afternoon. I would recommend placing an advance order with the stall to avoid a wasted trip!
