Clarke Quay – Awesome Value-For-Money Set Lunches Below $25!

Clarke Quay has always been a hot spot for folks looking for great restaurants or bars. Is there a restaurant that you’ve always wanted to try but never did? Well, there’s no reason not to now, because almost every restaurant in Clarke Quay is offering amazing lunch deals from 12pm to 3pm*! You can enjoy a filling and satisfying set lunch for less than $25! Say what? Unbelievable, I know! Here’s a glimpse of what you can expect.

Fremantle Seafood Market

Are you familiar with Australia’s seafood markets? Fremantle Seafood Market is modelled after Fremantle Harbour in Perth. All the seafood is air flown live into Singapore! Expect a vast variety of live seafood here.

Each $25.00++ set lunch comes with a beverage (Iced Passion Fruit Tea or Mango Chamomile Tea), soup of the day, one main course (Soft Shell Crab Linguine, Ribeye Steak, Grilled Norwegian Salmon, or Salted Egg Prawn) and dessert of the day. A legit 4-course meal!

The Soft Shell Crab Linguine in black pepper cream sauce was a pleasant surprise. It wasn’t too spicy and the cream sauce was rich but not overwhelming. The hint of sweetness in the sauce complemented the savoury fried soft shell crab wonderfully.

The Ribeye Steak that’s served with salad and fries is really value for money. My medium rare steak was juicy and slightly fatty, and extremely palatable.

Talay Thai

Talay Thai presents a modern twist on conventional Thai cuisine.

Each $25.00++ set lunch promises a beverage (Iced Passion Fruit Tea or Mango Chamomile Tea), soup of the day, one main course (Red Curry, Stewed Claypot Glass Noodles, Thai Fried Prawn Omelette or Stewed Pork Curry) and dessert of the day.

The Red Curry(chicken or fish) comes with steamed rice. The curry was a little sweet and mildly spicy and the curry just paired so well with the tender chicken. The portions are very generous!

Hot Stones Steak and Seafood Restaurant

Hot Stones Steak and Seafood Restaurant places fresh meat and seafood on piping hot Serpentine volcanic stone slabs which cook your food well and also keep it warm throughout your meal.

Each $25.00++ set lunch comprises a beverage (Iced Passion Fruit Tea or Mango Chamomile Tea), soup of the day (our mushroom soup had a drizzle of truffle oil!!!), one main course (Australian Tenderloin Steak, U.S. Kurobuta Pork Tenderloin, Deluxe Seafood Platter or Wagyu Beef Lasagna) and dessert of the day.

All of the raw meats are not marinated, so you can expect to taste the natural goodness and flavours of each piece of meat. Sea salt, wine sauce and mustard sauce are served alongside the Australian Tenderloin Steak. As you can choose to cook the steak to your desired doneness, you can experience different levels of doneness. I had mine cooked to medium, and the meat was really tender and juicy! A touch of sea salt and wine sauce made the steak even more irresistible.

The U.S. Kurobuta Pork Tenderloin was also juicy and tender. The Deluxe Seafood Platter is perfect for seafood lovers. All of 3 sets of raw meats and seafood comes with a bowl of garlic rice and salad. The hot stones accentuated the sweetness of the premium selection of seafood, and lent a slight char to it. I left my salmon on the stones for a longer period of time until the skin was crisp and nice!

The RANCH Steakhouse by ASTONS

The RANCH Steakhouse by ASTONS is a steakhouse that serves reasonably-priced premium meats. The RANCH has a dry-aging chiller in the dining room where diners can feast their eyes on the glorious meats, before feasting on them. You’ll definitely be getting your money’s worth here. Impress your date with a meal here, without burning a hole in your pocket.

The 150g Hand Selected Pepper Crusted Japanese Wagyu with The RANCH handmade fries and creamed spinach was such a treat! Just one bite and you can tell the quality of the beef. Coated with pepper, the beef was succulent and juicy. It will certainly put a big smile on your face. The handmade fries and bearnaise sauce was a match made in heaven! No complaints, no complaints at all.

Harry’s

Harry’s begun with a flagship outlet way back in 1992 and over the years, Harry’s has grown to become Singapore’s most well-established bar and dining chain.

The chic bar and dining establishment is home to many: the sports fanatics watching a live telecast, friends catching up with each other, and even families spending quality time together.

As part of its latest menu, Harry’s offers an exclusive Set Lunch Menu at its’ Clarke Quay outlet from $19.90++! Available daily till 3pm, their lunch sets promise value for money and a very, very satisfying meal.

Each $19.90++ set lunch comes with an appetiser (Caesar Salad or Harry’s Salad) or dessert (New York Cheesecake or Wild Berries Crumble), and one main course (Seafood Spaghettini ‘Mee Goreng’, Pork Katsu Rice, Beer Battered Fish & Chips, Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Parmigiana or Breakfast of Champions). You may complete the meal with a glass of coke or sprite ($3++), a bottle of alcohol free Heineken 0.0 ($4++) or half a pint of Carlsberg ($5++).

Seafood Spaghettini ‘Mee Goreng’
This is really unique and all of our attention was on it the moment it arrived at our table. It looked and smelled soooooo good! Harry’s is very generous with the amount of seafood, which was awesome of course. What hits you at first is a punch of spiciness that’s super shiok. It’s not made for the faint-hearted! To me, this was an extremely successful East-meets-West creation, and I’m definitely coming back for this!

Tsui Wah

From a district “Ice Cafe” in Mong Kok, Tsui Wah has become a well-known cha chaan teng chain that serves authentic Hong Kong specialties. Even since their official opening in Singapore last June, Tsui Wah has received rave reviews. If you love the food here, you’ll be more than pleased about their unbeatable lunch deals!

The $25.00++ set lunch for TWO pax comes with your choice of TWO noodles (add $2 to switch to tossed noodles), TWO beverages (add $0.50 to switch to cold drink) and 1 side dish. How awesome is that?!

The Kagoshima-style Braised Pork Cartilage in Fish Soup with Mixian is a winning combination. The sweetness of the fish soup and the braised flavours of the pork went hand in hand. How brilliant! One thing that is uniquely Tsui Wah, other than the crispy bun with condensed milk of course, is the Mixian. QQ Mixian in silky fish soup has always been a stunning combination.

Holey Moley (Mini Golf Club & Bar)

Singapore’s first mini indoor golf club and bar will excite you with its golf courses of different themes. From TV shows to classic films, Holey Moley makes sure that there’s something for everyone. Bring your pals here for a friendly golf competition, and don’t miss out on their signature drinks and insane 1 metre pizza! Lunchtime is a good time to check out the offerings, and have an exciting game of golf. Sounds like the perfect lunchtime activity to quell the midweek blues, methink!

Each $18++ set lunch (12pm to 2pm) consists of your choice of burger (The Hole in One, The Holey Cheezus, The Green or The Dirty Birdie) or hotdog (The Dirty Dog, The Deputy Dog, The Really Hot Dog or The Chicken Dog). A glass of house draught beer, house wine or soft drink is included in the set.

The Hole in One (U.P $25++) is an ensemble of a juicy beef patty, pulled beef brisket, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, the Holey sauce, Texas BBQ sauce, and a tasty bun. Be prepared to get your hands dirty as you work your way through the huge burger. Holey Moley does not skimp on the ingredients, and all burgers are served with a side of kimchi and steak fries.

The Dirty Dog (U.P $22++)
If you’re more of a sausage-bun person, get this! Holey Moley brought cheese chicken kransky wiener, slow braised pulled beef, cheddar cheese, turkey bacon, smokey Texas BBQ sauce, and slaw together in a crusty white bun. Every bite was a party in my mouth! All hotdogs come with a side of kimchi. We love the huge portions!
