Thank you Four Seasons Catering, I get to have my Christmas party early to try out the Xmas Set! The appetizers begin with a huge bowl of Turkey Ham & Potato Salad. Indulge in julienne turkey ham to add richness, offset by sweet and grainy honey mustard dressing.
Deep fried items are always a hit, especially amongst the kids. The Triple Snacks Platter was gone very quickly because of the deep fried Golden Fish Finger, Mexican Wings and Ebi Prawns. I like the wings most with spicy half-cut mid wing, coated with Mexican spices and deep-fried to golden brown perfection.
When you think of Christmas dinner, you probably envision a huge and round turkey set at the center of your dining room table right? But I think the simpler way is to have it readily sliced so that we don’t have to spend hours in the kitchen preparing the iconic holiday bird.
Here comes the star – Christmas Turkey Roast that is already beautifully sliced to moderate thickness. The turkey breast is roasted till perfection and stuffed with apricot, finished with a giblet sauce drizzle. Don’t be fooled by the look of the meat because it’s still tender and the giblet sauce sure makes it tasty.
Other dishes in the Xmas Part Box Set includes the Blackened Spices Oven Baked Fish served with a lemon butter caper sauce, Buttered Corn & Carrots, Rosemary Roasted Potatoes and Creamy Pesto Penne. All these are great accompaniment to the turkey roast. We particularly like the buttered corn because it’s soooo sweet.
Here comes the finale – Bread & Butter Pudding. The chef’s signature dessert, the bread & butter pudding is freshly baked in-house. It comes to the table as one loaf studded colourful raisins, strawberries and raspberries. My favorite part is the contrast between the crisp surface and a plush interior that will absorb the clotted cream and raspberry compote perfectly. Don’t bother splitting this with a friend—you’ll each want your own.
Four Seasons Catering’s Xmas Party Box costs $289.00 ($309.23W/GST) per set and is suitable for 10 pax. The Christmas menus are available from 1st Dec 2016 till 1st Jan 2017.
