There are plenty of amazing cakes and pastries on the menu, such as Hazelnut Caramel LUNA, Orh Nee, Strawberry Swissroll, Matcha White Chocolate, Yuzu Cheesecake, Carrot Cream Cheese, Vanilla Cheddar Cheese and Mango Passionfruit. Unfortunately, when I visited them during lunch time, their Hazelnut Caramel LUNA and Orh Nee cakes were both sold out. So we only managed to try three other flavours.

I will be honest here. I’m not a fan of cheese. But the staff recommended the Vanilla Cheddar Cheese ($7.50/slice, $75/whole cake), so we ordered one. If you prefer lighter cheesecakes, this will be right up your alley. Vanilla whipped cream is layered between light and airy vanilla sponge, and finished with a shower of grated cheddar cheese. It combines both sweet and savoury flavours in a cake.

If you are a matcha lover, you won’t be disappointed with the Matcha White Chocolate ($8/slice, $80/whole cake). This light and fluffy matcha chiffon sponge is filled with smooth matcha Valrhona Ivoire 35% chocolate ganache, and coated with matcha Chantilly cream and dusted with matcha powder. There’s something oddly pleasant about matcha’s deep and earthy taste that kept us digging for more. I liked that the texture was moist and not too dense.

I have had a very lovely Mango Passionfruit cake previously at a now-defunct cafe. So I had some expectations when it comes to LUNA’s Mango Passionfruit cake ($8/slice, $80/whole cake). It was definitely above average, with vanilla sponge layered with tangy mango passionfruit meringue mousse and Chantilly cream. The gentle sourness of the passionfruit and the freshness of the Chantilly cream made every single bite pure bliss.

Overall, I felt that LUNA is great for dates, weekday pick me ups or just casual chill out sessions. I’m definitely coming back ASAP cause they’ve so many other baked goodies that look gorgeous and probably taste heavenly too!
