Running from 3 June to 31 July 2019, the best durian buffet in Singapore showcases premium Mao Shan Wang delights, and even durian beverages. The luscious spread will definitely wow you!

I’ll dive straight into the star of this year’s buffet — the Durian Red Bean Pudding! Using only the best whole Japanese adzuki beans and durian purée, the innovative team at Marriott Cafe crafted this brilliant pudding that marries two distinctive flavours. It’s a very unique dessert, and we’re sure you’ll fall in love with it. Adzuki beans are valued for their richness in nutrients, and also aid weight management and improve heart health. We can safely say that this dessert is not such a sinful indulgence after all!

Another delightful piece that’s built with the King of Fruits is the Durian Coconut Custard! Enrobed in an exquisite crêpe and topped with crunchy, caramelised shredded coconut, the velvety custard fortified with Mao Shan Wang and coconut is seriously addictive. Once you start, you really can’t stop!

The exquisite Durian Tart is not just pleasing to the eyes, but it’s even more pleasing to the tastebuds. The bittersweet durian crème, which sits in a crisp buttery tart crust, made me grin from ear to ear. The very first bite was already a small slice of heaven. Marriott Cafe pulls out all the stops, and impresses with the Durian Gateau which flaunts delicate durian mousse layered between fluffy sponge cake. It’s like biting into a light durian cloud! And, of course, you absolutely can’t miss the Durian Cream Puffs which are filled with the most perfect durian cream I’ve ever tried. You are going to be popping quite a number of them, so make sure you come hungry to fully enjoy the luxurious durian feast.

Durian Roti John?! I couldn’t believe it until I saw it with my own eyes. This is definitely a first for me, and for you too, I believe. It really piqued my curiosity and I couldn’t wait to taste it. At first, to be honest, I was skeptical about this interesting dish. The symphony of flavours definitely caught me off guard, and I was surprised by how the different flavours melded beautifully. This unconventional ensemble certainly warrants a try!

On top of the tantalizing durian options that we’ve highlighted, you can look forward to the crumbly and flaky Baked Durian strudel which is filled with a rich durian mousse and cream. Baked to perfection, the durian strudel will, no doubt, leave a lasting impression. We also really enjoyed the Durian Bread & Butter Pudding with Vanilla Sauce which consists of a generous portion of durian custard resting amidst pillowy brioche slices.
