McDonald’s Quarter Pounder With Cheese Makes a Comeback, With Chargrilled Chicken Flavoured McShaker Fries and Improved Burgers

Meat lovers rejoice – the well-loved Quarter Pounder® with Cheese, and the Double Quarter Pounder® with Cheese, are relaunching at McDonald’s. What was previously only available as a trial at selected outlets will very soon be available across all stores in Singapore by 2 February! 

And this time, the Quarter Pounder® will return softer, juicier, and better than before. McDonald’s has tweaked the recipe for the extra meaty burger to optimise it for an even better taste.

So what has changed? You might realise that the buns now feel softer in your hands (and mouth). The cooking methods have also been updated, to yield a meltier and much more gooey layer of cheese, together with a much juicier patty. Each hefty stack now comes packed with even more enjoyment in every bite. 

The newly improved stack comes in the classic Quarter Pounder® with Cheese (from $6.30 ala carte), and there is also the Double Quarter Pounder® with Cheese (from $7.90 ala carte) – our personal favourite – which comes loaded with double the amount of cheese and beef, for the ultimate indulgence.

But that is not the only thing new on the menu at McDonald’s. The fast-food chain has also taken the chance to update the recipes for its entire range of burgers – so your all-time favourites will now come even tastier than before! Across all the burgers, they will be sandwiched between softer glazed buns. Their recipe has been tweaked to yield a fluffier bite, and more notably, all cheese-filled burgers will be heated at a higher temperature to ensure a meltier finish.

In particular, you’d fall back in love with Big Mac® (from $6.25 ala carte); the massive stack is getting a huge flavour boost as part of this delicious refresh. Beyond having softer buns and meltier cheese, each burger will now be constructed with 50 percent more Big Mac® sauce. The patties will also be grilled with onions to impart extra flavour.
