&JOY Japanese Food Street – Unique Dining Destination for All Things Japanese in Jurong Point!

Located in Jurong Point, &JOY Japanese Food Street brings a taste of Japan to you. Transport yourself to Japan at this one-stop foodie destination which boasts 12 unique concepts! That said, expect to be spoiled for choice when it comes to dining here. From Hamburg Steak to Sushi to Teppanyaki, there are too many to choose from! Keep your eyes peeled for some deals under $14 at these concepts available from 3 September to 18 September 2022.

Tsukimi Hamburg

The newest of the lot, Tsukimi Hamburg serves up some juicy Japanese Hamburg Steaks with a myriad of toppings to choose from. Digging into a bowl their signature, Tsukimi Hamburg Don ($12.80), expect steaming rice, drizzled with bonito and kombu stock and topped with a thicc Hamburg steak. This makes for a simple, yet hearty meal. The Hamburg came topped with a fresh golden Japanese egg yolk that added the creaminess I never knew it needed. Made with a mix of Miyazaki Wagyu beef, pork and US beef, this blend ratio gives rise to a perfect bite of Hamburg steak that’s packed with flavours.

For a limited time only from 3 – 4 September, be sure to get your hands on their opening promotion where any Tsukimi Hamburg Don goes for only $5.80 (U.P $12.80)! If that’s not enough, only on 24 – 25 September, enjoy any Teishoku Set for $7.80 (U.P $16.80). The latter promotion is not valid for the Foie Gras Teishoku Set though. But, I know I will definitely be back for more.

Yaki Yaki Bo

A Teppanyaki meal will never fail to leave you and your belly feeling satisfied. Trust me when I say this is no different. Get ready to be in awe of the sheer finesse of the teppanyaki chefs as they throw in a performance or two while they cook your dishes right in front of you!

With the option to choose from Beef, Pork or Chicken, their Teppan Meat Set promotion ($13.90, U.P. $17.30 – $20.30) is sure to give you a bang for your buck. Wash it all down with a complimentary cup of Ocha, bottled water or a canned drink.

If you haven’t had your fill after devouring the set, look forward to their a la carte menu that offers over 20 items. Kuriya Japanese Market

Ready-to-eat sushi and sashimi slices always go hand-in-hand with some Sake, and Kuriya Japanese Market is exactly the place to get your hands on these! Walk into a Salmon frenzy and get your hands on their Duo Salmon Roll ($10.80, U.P. $11.80) or the melt-in-your-mouth Salmon Maru ($7.80, U.P. $8.80). Why settle for those two when you can complete your meal with their Crazy Over Salmon Sushi Box ($9.80, U.P. $11.50).

This one-stop shop has anything and everything from Sushi, to Ice Cream, to Frozen Crab Legs. It is also the retailer for the supermarket chain with over 800 outlets in Japan, Gyomu.

Sushi-GO

I’m pretty sure we all love Sushi and what better way to spice up our dining experience with mini shinkansen trains delivering our plates to us? Offering an extensive menu with more than 150 varieties ranging from Sushi, to hot appetisers, to desserts, a single trip to Sushi-GO is simply not enough.

Why have a single plate of the typical Salmon Sushi when you can get a taste of two other flavours to elevate the sushi? Their Salmon-GO, one of the many items as part of the GO-series, features their Cheese Salmon, Salmon and Mentai Mayo Salmon sushi. For $3 a plate for any of the GO-series items (U.P. $3.50 – $4.00) from the 3rd to 18th September, this deal is not to be missed.

RAMEN KIOU

When it comes to Japan, the first thing that pops in my mind is Ramen. I absolutely adore a piping bowl of noodles drenched in hot soup packed with rich flavours and RAMEN KIOU offers just that. This well-known Osaka brand has been serving up bowls of goodness since 1995. Bored of the typical bowl of ramen and looking for something different? Slurp up their Roasted Beef Tomato Ramen ($18.90) that carries the natural sweetness from the tomato, coupled with the tender slices of beef topped on a bed of noodles.

GOKOKU Japanese Bakery

Gokoku Japanese Bakery would be no stranger to my bakery fanatics out there. This bakery from Kobe, Japan, has been churning out loaves of freshly baked buns made with high-quality ingredients and grains since 1961. If you’re heading down, be sure to grab their Gokoku Shichifuku Pan ($2.40) or their Malt Kurumi Pan ($2.40).

A personal favourite of mine would be their Mochi Mochi Cranberry ($2.30) that gives the perfect balance of chewiness and sweetness. But why go one bun when you can have a taste of all they offer? Spend a minimum of $14 and get a piece of their Jumbo Coronet filled with custard whipped cream (worth $2) for free! This promotion is limited to the first 100 redemptions per day so head down quickly.

Wadori

Another Japanese Classic that’s loved by people of all ages would undeniably be the skewers, better known as Yakitori. Enjoy the tinge of smokiness infused in the natural flavours of your orders as you take a bite of the juicy, tender chicken skewers. Simply irresistible.

Satisfy your Yakiniku cravings without burning a hole in your wallet at Yakiniku-GO. This fuss-free restaurant serves up high-quality meats at affordable prices with their set meals starting from just $9.80! With individual grills provided, this is the place to be whether you are dining solo or in a group.

Idaten Udon

Slurp on some al-dente Udon that carries a silky smooth yet springy texture, sourced directly from Japan. Here at Idaten Udon, go ham on the endless Tempura pairings to munch on with your Udon. With the purchase of any Udon or Don, any one Tempura add-on will only be priced at $1.40. What a steal! Looking for something creamy? Take your pick from the perfectly fried Potato Croquette or Japanese Sweet Potato. Other tempura available also include the Jumbo Kani Tempura, the ever-loved Enoki Mushroom, Chicken Gyoza and the delectable Ebi Katsu.
