Recently, I did an interview with a chef who told me his love for instant noodles. He would usually prepare two bowls of instant noodles after work and add in many teaspoons of belachan chilli. It was quite an interesting conversation, considering that he was a chef!

So when I got hold of the latest CP Curry Wings and wondering what can I do with it, I was inspired by the chef and decided to cook a bowl of Gong Zai Mee (Hong Kong style instant noodles, 港式公仔面) for myself.

The new CP Curry Wings are made from oven roasted tender chicken wings marinated in a fragrant blend of spices. You can choose to deep fry, microwave or bake it according to your preference.
Here is my simple 15 minutes recipe. I don’t really like luncheon meat so I decided to do away with it. And of course, if you prefer other types of noodles such as macaroni, please go ahead.
Ingredients: (serves 1)
1 packet of Nissin chu qian yi ding (出前一丁) instant noodles
Chicken soup (you can boil your own broth or even use the packet seasonings provided)
1 egg
2 slices of luncheon meat or ham
some oil
some vegetables
Method:
1. Deep fry CP Curry Wings for about 5 minutes.
2. Crack the egg without breaking the yolk into a small bowl.
3. Heat up a wok and grease it with oil.
4. Pour the egg carefully into the wok. Cook slowly until the whites are completely set and the yolk is about half cooked. Remove from pan and set aside.
5. Cook the instant noodles in boiling water. Drain and set aside.
6. Add sesame oil seasoning on the noodles, pour your own soup into the bowl and mix it.
7. Add the sunny side up on top of the noodles. Garnish with some spring onions.
