Style by Style Vibes Cafe Opens in Mediacorp Campus

Singapore’s leading fashion website, Style By Style has officially launched its own cafe, Style by Style Vibes Cafe. Located within the new Mediacorp Campus, the cafe serves baked meals freshly prepared upon order. We love the slogan #workcanwait! You should probably leave work out of your lunch table and really take some time to enjoy your meal.

The Grilled Chicken lunch Set ($15.70) had a chunky piece of marinated chicken served with butter rice, seasonal greens and a bowl of mushroom soup. The sakura chicken was marinated for some time and grilling it in the oven retains the juiciness. But I thought the mushroom soup can be thicker and richer.

We love the Tuna Sandwich ($8.90) more featuring a flaky croissant filled with tuna mayo, along with a salad as the side. Besides tuna, there’s mushrooms, egg mayo and teriyaki chicken. This meal is great for ladies who would prefer to have a lighter and healthier lunch. You could even top up another $4.50 for a cup of tea to go together with your meal.

As they are only 3 weeks old, the chef is still constantly making changes to the menu. We wanted to try their truffle fries ($8.90) which is air-fried but it was unfortunately sold out. For desserts, we shared the ondeh ondeh cake ($6.90) which I think the supplier has done a great job as it was moist with coconut cream. They also serve Plain Vanilla cupcakes which has exclusive flavours just for VIBES.

Honestly, there’s no wow factor and I won’t travel all the way for them. I was a little disappointed that the coffee comes from the automated coffee machine, but I guess that I understandable considering that the café is expected to cater to all Mediacorp staff when everyone move over. After 5pm, the café serves alcohol, a good stress reliever for producers. I was hoping to meet Sharon Au here but I guess I am not so lucky today.
