Join Me for Food Styling & Mobile Photography Workshop!
May 24, 2016
After thinking about it for many months, I have finally rolled out my first ever FOOD STYLING & MOBILE PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP! This is the first time I am doing it and I am so excited when Redpan offers their venue for me to conduct the workshop (read about my review here).
After I left my job as a journalist, I spent a lot of time reading up on food styling and photography, took up many online classes and even went overseas to learn from the experts (see daylesford masterclass). I am really honoured that I have been getting opportunities to help restaurants and corporate clients with their food styling and photography. The workshop idea was ignited by my dear friend Amanda Tan. I pondered over it for many months and now I think, I am ready.
In this workshop, I am not going to bring huge cameras nor bring my studio lighting. Instead, I will be sharing with you on practical ways to take nice photos using your mobile phones and apply it for your daily use. There will be theory and practical segments during the workshop so you can really learn how to plate and style a dish using color, texture and contrast. I will also be sharing some elements of design, including how to choose suitable tableware and props. There will be fun assignments for you to create your own images and you stand a chance to win dining vouchers if your beautiful shot is chosen!
Notes and ingredients will be given to all participants, and you will also be sharing some props which I will bring over. At the end of the session, we will enjoy a scrumptious lunch provided by RedPan. Limited to 12 participants, I am keeping this really small and cozy so hope to see you there!
