‘SUPPORT OUR LOCAL F&B’ WITH TIGER BEER!

The Circuit Breaker has been extended. This means that local F&B establishments will continue to take a hit. Can you imagine your favourite F&B outlets closing down because they cannot sustain their losses anymore? Imagine the number of jobs that will be lost, the lives that will be affected, and the loss of your favourite food and drinks.

I’m sure we are all aware of the impacts that COVID-19 has had on our economy and society. Restaurants and eateries are facing as much as an 80% loss in revenue, some even more. A recent survey has shown that 88% of restaurants may not be able to survive without assistance. If this situation persists, it will be tough for some of our favourite food haunts to continue operating. This could also mean losing local flavours, our food heritage and culture.

A home-grown brand and Asia’s number one international premium beer, Tiger Beer wants to do their part for the Singapore F&B community. “Tiger was born on the streets of Singapore. We want to do our part to help our local F&B partners revive faster until they can thrive again,” said Andy Hewson, Managing Director of Asia Pacific Breweries.

In an attempt to save our local F&B community (coffee shops, food courts, bars, pubs and restaurants), Tiger Beer has launched the ‘Support Our Local F&B’ initiative as part of the #SupportOurStreets campaign in Singapore. It is an initiative that aims to raise over $1.3million to help our local F&B community tide through this tough period, and to support them in their recovery process when they reopen. Tiger has also kindly given this initiative a kickstart by contributing S$100,000 cash. Tiger Beer hopes to be able to rally Singaporeans to help them in their bid to save F&B operators.

How can I help?

From now till 31 May 2020, support our local F&B community by making a $10 contribution at https://supportourfnb.tigerbeer.com.sg. There is no limit placed on the number of times you make a contribution, so feel free to contribute as much as you wish. Your kind contributions will be collated on a weekly basis, and ALL proceeds go directly to the participating coffeeshops, bars and pubs (450 and counting!)

To thank you for your contribution and support, Tiger will give each contributor a digital drink voucher which is redeemable for two Tiger beers at any participating outlet when it reopens.
