The Bread Gang – Delicious Halal Burgers, Sandwiches & More!
January 11, 2018

I love my burgers. There’s really something very comforting about sinking your teeth into familiarity — the common soft bun, crispy vegetables and juicy patty. Although burgers are definitely not the healthiest food options, they are surely very convenient, and can be extremely delicious.
Located in a halal coffee shop in Jurong East, The Bread Gang dishes out local delights such as roti john, and juicy diner-style burgers. Expect a variety of flavours, even flavours closer to home, such as the rendang patty, and classic pulled beef sandwiches,
The Roti John ($5.90) comes in many different variations — Roti John Chicken ($5.90), Roti John Cheeseburger ($6.90) and even Roti John Pizza ($7.90). We decided to stick to something more familiar and went for the original version with beef.
This yellow submarine is filled with a generous amount of onion, and sweet, savoury and peppery beef slices. The beef slices were very juicy, and I liked how the bread managed to soak up some of the juices, while remaining crisp.
We also tried the Classic Pulled Beef ($7.50) sandwich, which was served with a side of potato chips. Sitting on a bed of lettuce, the pulled beef was juicy and flavourful, and did not have a stringy texture at all.
The Bread Gang is a Halal-certified stall, so it’s a great place for everyone to enjoy local classics, and more.
